Privacy Policy — bubblefilm

This Privacy Policy explains how the bubblefilm mobile application (“bubblefilm,” “the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use it. bubblefilm is a tool for film photographers that lets you keep a digital logbook of your film rolls, meter light, and capture photos. We have designed the app to work entirely on your device.

In short: bubblefilm does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. We operate no servers, we have no user accounts, and everything you create in the app stays on your device.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information from you. bubblefilm does not require you to create an account or sign in, does not include analytics or tracking software, and does not send any of your information to us or to third parties. We have no servers that receive your data.

Data You Create in the App

Any content you create in bubblefilm — such as your film roll logs, frame notes, camera and film settings, metering readings, photos, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to us and is not accessible to us. If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device unless you have separately saved it elsewhere (for example, photos you chose to save to your Photos library).

Camera Access

bubblefilm requests access to your device’s camera so that it can provide light metering and capture photos, including its front-and-back simultaneous capture feature. The camera feed is processed on your device in real time. We do not record, store, or transmit the camera feed. Camera access is used only while you are actively using a feature that needs it.

Photo Library Access

bubblefilm requests permission to save photos to your device’s Photos library so that you can keep the images you capture. Photos are saved locally to your own library. We do not access, upload, or transmit your photo library.

Permissions Are Optional and Controlled by You

The app will ask for camera and photo library permissions only when a feature requires them. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings. Some features will not function without the relevant permission, but the choice is always yours.

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party software development kits that collect data. bubblefilm does not track you across apps or websites.

No Sharing or Sale of Data

Because we do not collect your personal data, we have nothing to share or sell. We do not disclose your information to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.

Children’s Privacy

bubblefilm does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is a general-audience photography tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).

Your Rights

Since your data stays on your device and we hold no copy of it, you remain in full control at all times. You can view, edit, or delete your logs and photos within the app, and you can remove all app data by deleting the app. If you have questions about your rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, you may contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a future version of the app begins to collect any data, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent within the app before doing so.
